Nikolaos (Nikos) Kyritsis, PhD - Principal Investigator
Dr. Kyritsis is a molecular neuroscientist with interest in deciphering molecular mechanisms of neurotrauma and utilizing them as biomarkers and/or targets for pharmacological interventions. He received an Integrated Master's degree in Applied Biology from the University of Ioannina in Greece and a PhD in Molecular Neurobiology from the Technische Universität Dresden as a graduate student in the International Max Planck Research School. He continued his training as a postdoctoral fellow at the laboratory of Drs. Michael Beattie and Jacqueline Bresnahan at the Brain and Spinal Injury Center of UCSF, where he is still today leading his research team as a Principal Investigator.
